Hello. This is Bill Truran. I am the Sussex County Historian. I am pleased to announce that we are aware of a significant occasion that is coming up. The 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence will take place on July 4, 2026. We plan to recognize and celebrate this wonderful time. During the next year or so we will be offering several ways for us all to prepare for, understand, and take part in the celebration of the
beginning of our nation.
The preparation for this next year is being broken down into three groupings:
